True Religion Panel, NYFW

Such a great tote- I can’t wait to put it to good use!

Tonight I had the pleasure of going to the True Religion Panel discussion on denim at the Standard Hotel. The panel included model Anne Vyalitsyna, the face of the Fall 2011 Campaign, Anna Bingermann, stylist, Michael Carl, Fashion Market Director at Vanity Fair, Jamee King, VP of US Wholesale at True Religion, and was moderated by Simon Collins, dean for the School of Fashion at Parsons.

The panel was extremely interesting, and covered everything denim, from why quality counts (and when it doesn’t) to sustainability to trends in denim.

The panel was held to celebrate the launch of a new platform called Unstitched and their partnership with Milk Made Fashion Week. Unstitched is happening September 7-15, and is a sort of social media type thing True Religion is doing. After you download the Pose App you can take pictures in your cute little True Religions and upload them with the hashtag #truereligion. If you do this, your photos will automatically upload to True Religion’s Facebook page, and voila. Hooray! You’re suddenly so fabulous and famous!

The Press Release, etc.

Oh also, what I wore:

Missoni x Target Sweater
Citizens of Humanity Jeans
(sadly, I have no True Religion’s with me in NYC)
Madewell Blouse
Alexander Wang Boots
Chanel Bag

Fashion’s Night Out 2011

Another year, another Fashion’s Night Out! This year I went to the opening of the Missoni for Target Pop-Up Shop. It was insanity, I have never in all my life seen such a line. We had to wait for 2 hours just to get in, but it was so worth it. Come September 13, get your fabulous selves to the closest Target as fast as your little legs can carry you, this stuff is good.
The crowd outside Missoni, the line literally wrapped around the entire block
My dream bike!
Love the vintage Fiat!
 The general inside- so cute!

But the best moment of the night was when Angela and Margherita stuck their heads out and just stood there, letting us bask in their glory. And bask we did- it was amazing. Literally the only thing I could even manage to sputter out was “OhMyGodOhMyGodOhMyGod” because I was so excited.
Love how excited they were!
Sorry it’s a bit blurry, but I had to include all these- they looked right at me!

Met Gala 2011

Presenting the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute Gala 2011!
The night unveiled the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibit,
and drew a slew of stars.

Check out some of the pictures below-
my apologies for the bad photo quality- since I’m not an actual
member of the press, I had to stand behind barricades on the other side of the street.
Regardless, I saw just about everyone, so here are some of the ‘best’ photos
