Currently Craving: Burgundy

Burgundy is pretty much the hottest fall color for the up and coming fall season, and rightly so. This rich tone screams falling leaves and sweater weather, and goes well with cream, camel, black, and dark green. For a color cozy yet supremely sophisticated, look no further.

Mini Skirts are perfect for fall despite their length, because hellooo?! tights! They make everything better, cuter, warmer, and sexier. Sortof. The T by Alexander Wang Leather Mini Skirt (1) is sexy, the Pleated Neoprene Mini Skirt (2), also by Alex Wang, is different and fun, and Carvens Mini Skirt (3)  is girly and polished. For something more substantial on your legs, The Row makes some fantastic
Leather Leggings (4), and the combination of leather and burgundy is pretty killer. Jersey and burgundy is pretty cool too, especially in Helmut Langs Draped Jersey Dress (5).

To keep your head and neck warm, or at least stylish, go for a cool hat- Borsalino Hare Velour Hat (6) and a cozy scarf, this Topshop Snood (7) is especially great because a food is by far warmer, so there you go. For more coziness, we move on to sweaters, you can’t go wrong with a turtleneck like Etros Wool Blend Sweater (8), or cashmere, like Uniqlos Cashmere V Neck Sweater in Wine (9). More toasty fashion comes in the form of Haider Ackermans Wool-Blend Felt Coat (10) and the Versus Hooded Shearling Coat (11), which is pretty much the best thing ever. Not much warmth, but fashion for days comes in Haider Ackerman’s Swinton Taroni Jacket (12), which is the next best thing to the Versus coat.

If you aren’t ready for this strong color all over your body, try it on just a small part, like your nails with Illamasquas Nail Varnish in Unnatural (13) or NARS nail polish in Chinatown (not pictured). You could also go for a strong lip with Dolce and Gabbanas Classic Cream Lipstick in Dahlia (14). In terms of shoes, there are many, but none so good as the Miu Miu Suede Stud Ankle Boots (15). The CC Skye Warrior Princess Cuff (16) is perfect snippet of the color, while the YSL Large Patent Leather Clutch (17) and 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Leather Tote (18) showcase the color a bit more.

Currently Craving: Shoes from the Barney’s Warehouse Sale

So I was going to do a post covering the entirety of the Barney’s Warehouse Sale, online for the first time ever, but then I got to the shoe section and it all went to hell. There are too many pairs and so little blog space to show them with, especially if combined with clothing, the horror! Instead, what you see below is a nice little collection from the sensational shoe section available to us all now! Not just those in New York and Los Angeles! (Though I was enjoying being part of that club). The Barney’s Warehouse Sale is my favorite time of the year (when it happens, at least, since Couture time is a have when that happens, and fashion week time, and so on). But I digress. Now, see for yourselves, and relish in the show glory.

First we have ChloĆ©, with the Chunky Criss-Cross Wedge (1) -which, I might add, I have shown before-and the Snakeskin Platform Sandal (2), if you prefer something more delicate. Continuing on with yellow, we have Phillip Lim’s Espie (3) and then Rag & Bone’s Hanalei Ballet Flats (4) which aren’t yellow, but fell next to the yellow shoes because they are flats, just like the pair before them. In continuation with the now blue theme we have going, we have Manolo Blahnik’s Pamukfac (10) and the Alexander Wang Aida (5), whose textured pieces might start molting like a bird does, in which case the shoes would be ever sicker.

Moving on from shedding shoes we have Haider Ackermann, who just kills it in everything he does, and in particular with these Laser Cut (6) and Brocade (7) Oxfords, which are particularly amazing in that your ankles will be saved from blisters due to the lack of a back in the shoe, which also make you look like you don’t care that your expensive oxfords are folded down to save you blisters, which, in turn, makes you the coolest ever.

If you prefer a Chunky Shoe, meet Sergio Rossi’s Sandal (8), Rag & Bone’s Cutout Platform Sandal (9), and both Proenza Schoulers Slingback (11) and Slingback Cutout (12) Platform Wedges. They are your new best friends. And last but not least, though not chunky, is Pierre Hardy’s Cube Mask Sandal (13).

Currently Craving: French Fashion

I looove French Fashion- Chanel, YSL, Balenciaga, Hermes, the list goes on and on. Being in Paris, I am surrounded by all these stores and more, and I can’t help from wanting everything! One of my favorite French companies is Carven- I love how girly, young, and fun the clothes are. I especially love the  Cotton Dress with Ruching (1) and the Biker Style Cotton Jacket (2) which is perfect for summer since its lightweight. You simply can’t be French without something Hermes, and the classic lacquered H bracelet in white (3) is super summery and therefore perfect. If you buy no other white, buy the Celine Cabas in Python White (4), need I say more? It’s Celine, it’s Python.

The Louis Vuitton Yellow Pouchette (5) and sunglasses (6) literally couldn’t be cuter, and the YSL Arty Ring (7) in that light turquoise/mint is so perfect for the summer. A Carven blouse (8) comes next- how cool is that print? and then we have the most amazing Lanvin iPhone case (9). I mean, come on. Alber Elbaz is just too cute.

It’s been rainy here quite a bit in Paris, so the Etoile Isabel Marant Skinny Jeans (10) would be fabulous to own. (side note- I also love Isabel Marant- her latest collection was too good). Repetto Flats (11) are pricey but amazing, and oohing says summer like a bubblegum pink YSL Clutch (12). (ok, maybe a lot of other things do, but let’s just pretend). Another great French brand is Sandro, and the color of this Shirt (13) is so light and pretty. Chloe sandals (14) and a Chanel Bike (15) are obvious essentials for Paris in the summer. Because who doesn’t need a Chanel bike?
